Privacy policy

This policy describes how Tabled handles information when you visit tabled.food or use the Tabled app. Tabled is an early-stage product, and this policy may change as the service develops. We will update the date above when we make changes.

Information you provide

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. If you create an account, we receive the sign-in information needed to identify you and may store your email address, display name, handle, and time zone. You can also choose to save meals, dishes, recipes, photos, notes, reactions, comments, and follow relationships in the app.

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure Tabled, provide sign-in, save and display your content according to your sharing choices, respond to support requests, and manage the waitlist. A waitlist signup generates an internal notification so we can manage early access; joining the waitlist does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing email.

If you choose meal suggestions in the signed-in app, the description you submit is sent to OpenAI to produce a draft meal title and dishes. This happens only when you request a suggestion. Guest-mode meals stay on your device and are not sent to Tabled's API.

Sharing and service providers

Meals and notes are private unless you choose to post a meal. Posts are available to authorized followers. We use service providers to run Tabled, including Amazon Web Services for hosting, databases, private photo storage, and email delivery, and OpenAI for meal suggestions when requested. These providers process information to provide their services to us.

When you sign in with Apple or Google, those providers handle their own sign-in process. Tabled receives an account identifier needed to recognize your account. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Storage and security

Account information and content are stored on our service infrastructure. Photos are private by default and are made available only after an access check. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can choose whether to post a meal, and guest-mode information can be removed by clearing the app's local data. To ask us to access, correct, or delete account or waitlist information, contact hello@tabled.food. We may need to retain some information where required for security or legal reasons.

Children

Tabled is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
